Sad Days @ Rhubarb City

It seems like the fan is spinning at full speed, and someone is throwing pieces of poop into it over at Rhubarb City (City Motto: We Like it Raw). Not only did Dave’s baseball team drop a couple of games on Sunday to teams described as being ‘filled with 10-year-old girls’, he then proceeded to delete his snazzy Blogger template, and be left with this. As they say, all bad things happen in 3’s, and Raw Rhubarb is no exception. It seems as though his bike has been eaten by a strange creature, with teeth that cut right through the chains he used to secure it. At least he wrote a poem about it.

So, the site once declared as the ‘Most Joyous Site on the Internet’ in 2002 by the authorities on such matters, is now filled with unhappiness. Let’s hope the situation improves before it spreads to other sites.

UPDATE:

The Medieval Castle of the Gomez has been hit! In his latest post he goes on a explicitive-filled tirade against Big Pharma’s marketing practices. Anger!

The thing I like about Raw Rhubarb is that every once in a while, something worth reading gets posted. Lucky for us, his latest post included this little gem:

London spent all day Saturday in Kingston and went to a local theatre to watch a movie — Bruce Willis’ action flick 16 Blocks — and then the Knights plowed through a team dinner at The Keg.

Mmmm…. I love the Keg. I didn’t know that Kingston had one. All this talk about Kingston being cold, unwelcoming and pancake-less, they had me going. I thought Kingston was Garbage City redux. But, I mean… there’s a Keg! Tasty food! Mmmmm!

New Blog In Town

I was recently reading this post over at King’s Perspective when I noticed that he linked to a mysterious URL: pthuss.blogspot.com. Very similar to dthuss.blogspot.com, but the ‘d’ has been rotated 180 degrees. I clicked the link. And then my mind was blown.

While I was away, Peter ‘Rocking the Dalup’ Thuss started a blog. And if that isn’t enough to get you excited, he writes about the HOCKEY POOL. Oh yeah! There is now officially more people writing about our fantasy hockey pool then there is people writing about the Strathroy Rockets. Suck it, Blades!

I don’t think I’ve ever properly linked to my old site from this one. I’ve added a new link to the top of my page and called it Ye Olde SockWorld. I still need to migrate the content from that site over here. Maybe I’ll just bring over the best ones manually. There’s a lot of crap over there.

I noticed that my first posting on the old site occured on February 17th of last year.� That day falls on a Friday this year, so maybe a little celebration is in order. If you bring the sombreros, I’ll bring the guns.

Casa Del Gomez Reborn!

Proving once and for all that no man can keep him down, Jordie G has moved Casa Del Gomez over to Blogger. His new page features a large picture of Gomez Addams, making it at least twenty times the blog compared to his old one. It’s too bad that his Uncle Skeletore comics were murdered along with his old blog by a certain Evil Corporation, but at least he’ll continue to live on in our hearts.

Since I’ve switched blogging providers, I can now use some of these offline Blog editors. I’m using one called Qumana right now, and it has buttons for everything, including ADs! Here, watch me sell out:
