Looks like PNG compression is good for more than just images! This fellow decided to compress Javascript code into a PNG file and then use the canvas tag and a function to extract the JS out of it at runtime. You can read about it here.
I tried out the technique, it works pretty well. I’ve compressed the SockWorld archives into one big PNG file, which I’ve posted below:
